Batching System

The following gallery is of a batching system we designed & manufactured. We also carried out the full electrical & control installation of the system. The system mixes batches of material via a series of tanks, valves and pumps spread around the facility to mix the correct ratio of batch required for the product they are currently making. There are multiple modes available within the system allowing for full automatic control, semi-automatic and manual control, system cleaning functions, flush sequences to flush the system at the end of a run to prepare for the next batch to be programmed in, and a vast array of conditions required to be met per batch.

Our system was designed to work with another system already on site which conveys the material to the tanks, seamlessly integrating both systems to operate in tandem with each other to keep the product mixed to the correct ratio and deliver it to the machine consistently and evenly to create a perfect finished product.

The location of the control panel is situated at quite a distance from the machine operators cabins, meaning they had no way of knowing what the system was doing at any given time. To get around this problem, we installed 2 mini PC's and monitors, one in each operators cabin, and programmed them to display the HMI graphic to enable remote viewing of the system. This allows the operators to monitor the system to ensure there are no blockages or hold ups, and gives a visual representation of the current state of the system, allowing them to action alarms as soon as they arise.
